Large eyes with lateral placement. Smooth, hairless grey integument. Compact bipedal form with a large cranium. Reduced nasal structure. And the detail witnesses keep noting — three elongated digits per hand.

That description has been assigned to extraterrestrial biology for seventy years. Nobody looked at what the ancient world had already documented — in stone, in ceramic, in temple walls — and asked whether that description predated Roswell.

It does. By six thousand years.

The Vinča culture of Serbia — sixth through third millennium BCE — produced a figurine corpus that archaeologists have studied for over a century without resolving what it depicts. The Vinča carvers documented an organism across multiple developmental stages of its lifecycle. The adult form is the entity the modern world calls the grey alien. The earlier stages are what the ancient world called the Naga, the Apkallu, the anguiform deity.

Same organism. Different stages. Documented in fragments, from different geographic positions, across thousands of years.

One Organism, Five Forms

The morphological distance between the serpentine Naga and the grey alien — which makes them appear to be entirely different species — is the same distance a tadpole has from the frog it becomes.

Nagatridactylus sapiens is the classification for Earth's naturally evolved amphibian sapient lineage. Like all amphibians, it undergoes dramatic metamorphosis across its lifecycle. The grey cranial features — large lateral eyes, smooth integument, compact cranium — are not adult developments. They are lifecycle constants, present from the earliest aquatic stage onward.

The Vinča corpus confirms three of the five stages in a single artifact tradition — in stone, six thousand years before Roswell.

The tridactyl digit count is the most forensically significant feature in the record. Confirmed in Vinča ceramic. Confirmed in modern witness testimony. And confirmed in the skeletal record of a physical specimen recovered from Peru — three elongated digits, fully articulated, documented by institutional radiographic analysis.

Three independent confirmation sources. Six thousand years apart. All counting three.

Five Traditions. No Contact Vector. No Sky Origin.

Serbia, India, Southeast Asia, Egypt, China, and Mesopotamia — five independent traditions document the same morphology. Not one of them assigns these beings a sky origin. Every one of them places them in the water, underground, or in the earth.

The Mesopotamian Apkallu tradition is particularly significant — it is the same source material Zecharia Sitchin drew from to build the modern ancient astronaut framework. That material does not show sky travelers. It shows an organism in biological transition.

The Greys Are Not Visitors

Extraterrestrial, interdimensional, time traveler — three competing hypotheses, three independent failure points, all of them at the same place: the archaeological record.

The Earth-origin framework requires the least. A naturally evolved amphibian sapient lineage, documented globally, persisting into the modern period — encountered by populations who no longer have the taxonomy to identify what they are seeing.

The ancient world documented the earlier stages and called them gods. The modern world encounters the adult stage and calls it an alien. Neither identification is correct.

Once and for all — the Anunnaki are the greys from the water.
